Welcome to Blue Ocean Studios
Around the World

Castillo Wulff by Vina del Mar, ChileWe took advantage of our last day at the beach - and hung out on Playa Aculpulco.   For some reason, we had become obsessed with finding Empanadas con Queso, as they sounded pretty good, but we had yet to try one.  Once again, the late start in Chile had us fooled - we went to a few shops along the boardwalk - but none were selling Empanadas yet (it was 12:30 pm!!!) - they were just opening.  They said come back later.  When we did around 2:30 pm - we were a little disappointed - it was just deep fried bread with cheese inside (nothing really special).

We later took a stroll over to Wulff castle situated along the Pacific - it was beautifully built in 1905 and later given to the city.  There seems to be a few nestled tudor castles around the city from the early 1900's (we saw a few as we strolled around).

Us at Vina del Mar, ChileJaimie spent some time at the hotel's computer to do a little research on Punta Arenas - we're excited to head down to the straights of Magellan - which was the only passage away for ships across the Americas until the Panama Canal.  They also have penguins and blue glaciers (sounds photogenic :)).  With all this in mind, we had a very light day just relaxing and recovering from our first month's adventures.

For daily visitors :) : We will be heading out early tomorrow morning for Punta Arenas - and we're not sure about internet in the world's most southern city for the next couple of days.
